The element of trust.

I have always loved basketball. I’ve admired both players and coaches over the years, and a few have certainly come out and impressed me both on court and off court. John Wooden, who is regarded as the greatest college coach in history, had so many innovative and interesting ways in taking all the teams he coached to greater heights. His book “Pyramid of Success” is a good reference on how one can succeed in life. I came across a similar Pyramid, inspired by Wooden’s steps, entitled the ““SEO Success Pyramid”

The “SEO Success Pyramid” is structured in a flawless manner and, if closely followed, can help in winning a regular Internet user into a buyer online.

Trust tops all on the pyramid. The value of trust in SEO is of utmost importance. It is a necessity for organically ranked websites, from a search engine point of view, and the most dramatic impact has come from the social impact of trust on organic results. Look at it this way: trust is built by people, not machines. People develop products, create websites, communicate with the customers and also use the products. In most (or all) instances, you come across a company or a product that you trust, the chances are you will buy their product or use their services. Hence trusting a company and a product gives you confidence, and you’ll enjoy using it. That’s why it is one of the most important things that influence buying habits online.

As an online marketer, and by looking at the “SEO Success Pyramid”, I will focus on links and how, when properly implemented, they can sell the content of your website instantly. Basically, Links help you get higher rankings in Google which can also mean gaining “Trust” from a user, when your site ranks favourably. For those not in the dark, “Jill Whalen” explains what links are and just how to get them. Also note the relationship they have with “Content” and “Keywords”,which are some of the steps in the “SEO Success Pyramid”.

To win the online battle, the “SEO Success Pyramid” is surely a winning formula. I agree with “Matt McGee” when he says,”Get people talking positively about you, whether it be one-to-one conversation among friends or in the larger setting of an online community, and you`ll climb the pyramid that much faster.
