The global thought leader and authority in search marketing and SEO is making a grand stop in Cape Town to meet and engage with local industry professionals about what’s happening now in SEO, and what we can expect from the future. The SEOMoz team embarked on a 2012 Mozcation tour last year (which has evidently stretched into 2013), which included stops in Seattle, Milwaukee and Portsmouth. Our local team here in the Mother City are honoured to have Cape Town as the final destination and are eager to contribute to the event.
Mozcation in Cape Town: What to Expect
It must first be mentioned that Cape Town was not randomly selected as a destination for the Mozcation tour. Cities had to be nominated and an engaging submission had to be sent though to SEOMoz, which was scored on its creativity, retweets and general community interest. Thanks to a campaign spearheaded by Whitehatters, a body of search marketing professionals dedicated to promoting ethical SEO practices in South Africa, Cape Town got the green light. Of course this could not have been done without the support of the local SEO industry. The programme for Mozcation Cape Town will include networking, which is all important for industry growth and good practice, and talks from SEOMoz CEO Rand Fishkin and Director of Community Jen Lopez. The topics are yet to be confirmed.
Mozcation Cape Town will be held on the 24th January at Ratanga Junction in Century City. Tickets are free but limited, so it’s best to book a seat early to guarantee a spot. The Cape Town team of the MVI search marketing agency are looking forward to engaging with fellow Mozzers and to contributing to an event that will surely promote and grow the local SEO industry. We’re ready to wow SEOMoz with our knowledge and expertise.
