Background and Brief
Our client is a well established multi-disciplined firm based in Malta. They act as the legal branch of the company and deal in all spheres of legal practice in Malta, including: Tax law, i-Gaming, financial services, trust law, corporate law, intellectual property, aviation and aircraft registration, ship and yacht registration, immigration and registration and many more.
At the time of signing up with MediaVision, our client was performing its own in-house SEO practices but was not achieving the desired results; with rankings peaking at page 4 and 5 of SERPs. They contacted MediaVision for assistance in improving rankings to important keywords and phrases in order to re-affirm their status as a leading law firm in Malta.
The brief from our client was to increase quality traffic to the site by improving the rankings of 5 essential keywords, as their status of being one of Malta’s leading law firms was not reflected online. Having identified the power and benefits of SEO, they employed MediaVision in order to achieve the goals they were struggling to achieve themselves.
The client was also in the process of developing and launching a new website and needed an agency to consult with in order to ensure that the new website was 100% SEO compliant.
Strategy:
Despite entering the process mid-way through development of their new website, MediaVision looked to immediately contact and establish a working relationship with those in charge of developing the new website. It was essential for MediaVision that the new website was sufficiently SEO compliant and in line with the high standards that MediaVision sets for its clients’ websites.
MediaVision also aimed to simultaneously start promotional work despite the inevitability of the new client website being launched soon. With the delays that often occur in web development (luckily not in this case), MediaVision aimed to start improving traffic volumes and quality from the instant of signing the client.
Results:
MediaVision was able to establish an excellent working relationship with the client’s web developers which culminated in the prompt launching of a brand new website that was not only SEO compliant, but also sufficiently conversion orientated via suggested changes to onsite content and design.
Improvement to TRAFFIC after 3 Months of SEO Implementation:
After just 3 months of SEO implementation from MediaVision, the client’s website showed immediate signs of improvement as overall organic search traffic to the site had increased by 61%, as shown below:

As of 1st February 2011, after 5 months of SEO implementation from MediaVision, overall organic search traffic to our clients website had increased by 83%,despite the annual dip in web interest over the festive period every December as illustrated below:

Improvements to Quality of traffic:
It’s not all about Rankings and MediaVision understands this; which is why we focused on targeting all longtail qualifying keywords surrounding the 5 target keywords and managed to get these ranking in no time too. Ranking for more qualified keywords results in better quality and more relevant traffic to a site which is exactly what the client is benefiting from now.
Bottom line: Better quantity AND quality traffic = better ROI.
Conclusion:
MediaVision not only increased the amount of quality traffic to the client’s website by over 80% over the course of just 5 months, but also improved the site’s SEO compliance as well as content to ensure that their client achieved substantial improvements in rankings, traffic, enquiries and ultimately – revenue.
