Expand your brand on a low budget

Branding. We all know what it is, yet some still struggle with it. Building a brand for yourself or for your company can be daunting when starting from the ground up. However, to keep up with today`s larger brands like Coca Cola, Google and Paris Hilton, you`ve got to put in a huge amount of time, effort and money. For those of you clever people out there, don`t try and compete with them, unless you have budgets like theirs and are prepared to throw a lot of cash at your market. Sorry folks, but that is the only way you`re going to reach their level, unless of course you`re prepared to distribute explicit home videos and walk around saying “that`s hot” to everything. This route doesn`t come highly recommended.
Launching your brand is the first step. Without a brand in place, there is nothing to promote. You need to decide on a logo, slogan, corporate message; the list goes on. Once you`ve got that all setup and ready to roll, you`re in business. But remember, you need mass exposure for that business to turn into a success.
The promotion of your brand would be the next big step, and doing it right is what can make or break you, and subsequently your bank. There are many marketing tools that can be utilised for brand promotion when doing a launch. Each one`s use is reliant on your needs and your intended target market`s goals. The most common tools in use today are advertising, personal selling, direct marketing, online marketing, exhibitions, public relations management and promotions. Each of these tools is an effective way of directing attention at your brand and ensuring mass exposure when combined together to reinforce the message you aim to spread.
Online brand launches are more common these days as people discover how much more affordable online marketing is than advertising in print media. This is especially evident through avenues such as social media sites, building a blog around your brand, and even sending out email newsletters to customers. Social media optimisation is only going to explode to greater heights in the near future, so now is the time to get involved, before online media brands start blasting onto the scene. Don`t you want a piece of the pie?
Get your brand out there on the market and start building it today. If you`re a bit strapped for cash, start your ventures online. It`s more affordable and the exposure is worldwide. What better excuse?
